What happens when you give yourself permission to create?
Hi again… I’m really glad you’re here.
Can I ask you something gently?
When was the last time you created something without trying to be good at it?
Not polished.
Not strategic.
Not monetized.
Not posted.
Not judged.
Just created.
Somewhere along the way, many of us were taught that creativity belongs to “artists.” That if we aren’t trained, talented, or naturally gifted, we should stay in our lane. We learned to perform instead of explore. To perfect instead of play.
But here’s what I’ve witnessed — both in my own life and at every Art-Creative event:
The moment someone gives themselves permission to create, something shifts.
There’s something sacred about sitting at a table with paint in front of you and no expectations attached. No one is grading you. No one is comparing you. No one is asking for credentials.
Just color.
Just expression.
Just presence.
I’ve watched people walk in saying, “I’m not creative,” and leave holding a masterpiece they are proud of.
Art becomes the doorway.
Connection becomes the outcome.
That’s what happens when you give yourself permission to create.
