WHY ART-CREATIVE WAS STARTED?

This is so cool to have you here, reading this with me.

I am in awe of you…yes, you for taking a moment to be present, curious, and open to creativity.

My name is Alexis, I am the creator of Art-Creative, originally from Northern Virginia. Art-Creative was founded from a desire to merge creativity and community.

So… what happened next?

I moved to Miami in 2024 with a deep desire to discover community. Not just social scenes or surface-level connections, but something meaningful… Something rooted in creativity, expression, and shared experience. I wanted to expand both my creative practice and my connections with people who valued art, conversation, and togetherness.

As 2025 began, I found myself truly enjoying the art scene in Miami. I started selling custom paintings and leaning more into my identity as an artist. Yet, despite the growth, something was missing. I felt disconnected from a creative community. I was creating but not creating together.

That disconnect sparked a question that stayed with me:

How could I build a space where creativity and connection coexist?

Before the year ended, I made a decision. Instead of choosing between art and community, I would merge them.

That’s how Art-Creative was born.

In November 2025, I hosted my very first sip & paint event. And what happened next still amazes me.

As you’re reading this, in just the past six weeks,

Art-Creative has hosted seven events with over 100 people in attendance. Strangers became friends and creativity became a shared language.
What started as a personal longing turned into a collective experience.

Art-Creative exists because creativity is meant to be experienced together.
